🎮 About the Event

Game Dev Meetup #138 is a special pre-jam edition leading into Winnipeg Game Jam 2026. If you’re planning to jam this February, or you’re curious about joining the community for the first time, this meetup is a great way to connect ahead of time.

Winnipeg Game Dev Meetups are typically held on the last Tuesday of each month and are open to everyone. Artists, programmers, designers, musicians, students, hobbyists, indie developers, industry professionals, and the game-curious are all welcome. No prior experience is required.

🚀 What to Expect

In-Person Icebreakers (Optional)
Light, structured icebreakers designed to make introductions easier ahead of Winnipeg Game Jam 2026. This is a relaxed way to meet new people, reconnect with familiar faces, and chat. Participation is completely optional. Join in, observe, or mingle at your own pace.

Community Game Tournament (Optional)
A casual tournament featuring The Spiders Have Swords, created by community member June Pagé. You’re welcome to play, watch, or ignore the tournament entirely. It’s intended as a fun, social activity, not a competition you have to commit to.

New Venue
This meetup is taking place at a venue we don’t normally use. Arriving a bit early may help you get oriented and settled in.
